Sugden End recycling centre at Cross Roads could close.
The proposal is included in Bradford Council’s initial draft budget for 2013/14, but has come under fire from Worth Valley councillor Rebecca Poulsen.
She said: “Closing Sugden End will only further lead the hard-working folk of Worth Valley to question the value they get for their council tax.”
The draft budget states most homes would remain within a 15-minute drive time of a household waste recycling centre and virtually all within 20 minutes’ drive time.
It adds: “Sites in Keighley and Queensbury are within reasonable range of the communities using Sugden End.”
