Police are appealing for witnesses after a road accident in Cullingworth on Sunday.
The rider of a motor scooter was taken to hospital after he was in collision with a car at the junction of Manywells Brow and Haworth Road.
A police spokesman said a blue Sim Attila scooter was travelling northbound towards Halifax Road at about 8.10am.
The scooter, ridden by a 22-year-old Bradford man, was in collision with a Nissan Almera car heading eastbound.
The rider was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary, where he was later described as being in a serious but stable condition.
Anyone who witnessed the incident should contact PC John Cummins at the Western Area Roads Policing Unit on 101.
