Food collected

Year eight and nine pupils at a Keighley school helped ensure needy families would have a little less to worry about this Christmas.

The children at Oakbank School on Oakworth Road staged a collection in aid of the Salvation Army. The pupils had found out about the work of the charity during an assembly.

They responded by quickly filling more than eight boxes with food.

Their donations were distributed to local families in time for Christmas.
