Glusburn man smashed his father’s window in late-night row
9:00am Friday 25th January 2013 in News
A son smashed a window inside his father’s house during a late-night attempt to talk, Skipton magistrates heard.
Craig Boyd, 25, of Greenway in Glusburn, turned up at his father’s house in Skipton on December 22, the court heard on Friday. On his way out, he kicked a window, smashing it.
When he was arrested six days later, he was found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis worth £10.
Boyd admitted criminal damage and being in possession of a class B drug.
He told the court he was sorry for what he had done, but he had needed to talk to his father and he hoped they would be able to sort out things between them.
He was ordered to pay £200 compensation to his father and was fined £50 for possessing cannabis. He was also ordered to pay £50 costs, and an order was made for the destruction of the drugs.
