Police in renewed plea for Keighley burglary blaze information

8:00am Thursday 21st February 2013

Police this week made a renewed appeal for information about a house blaze earlier this month, believed to have been started deliberately following a burglary.

Officers and fire crews were called to the semi-detached property in Braithwaite Edge Road, Keighley, in the early hours of February 9.

The house, left, which was unoccupied at the time, was severely damaged in the blaze.

Detectives are urging anybody with information, or who was in the area between about 10.30pm and midnight on the day, to come forward.

They should contact Detective Constable Ian Dawson on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Police said forensic investigations following the incident were ongoing.

An 18-year-old local man arrested on suspicion of burglary and arson is currently on police bail.
