A 20-year-old man jailed for drug dealing had his sentence extended by eight months at Bradford Crown Court after he was caught selling heroin in a park.

Akash Hussain, of Surrey Street, Stockbridge, pleaded guilty to supplying the drug in Victoria Park on May 3 last year.

He had been sent to a young offenders’ institution for 28 months in December for possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply. Hussain was on bail for that offence when police caught him selling drugs in the park at 10.45am.

Recorder of Bradford, Judge Roger Thomas QC, sentenced Hussain to eight months in a young offenders’ institution, on top of the stretch he is already serving.
