South Craven Young Farmers' 'Knockout’ event will help toddler

Young Farmers from South Craven are organising an It’s A Knockout afternoon to help a disabled toddler walk.
They will recreate the popular 1970s TV game show to raise money for treatment for two-year-old Oliver Rushton.
Oliver, from Barnoldswick, suffers from spastic diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy, and is in need of a specialist spinal procedure, which could cost £25,000.
Fundraising efforts by his parents, Adam and Helen Rushton, have so far raised about £15,000 for the life-changing operation.
The Young Farmers have joined in the fundraising by announcing their June 1 event at Niffany Farm in Skipton.
Silsden with Skipton Young Farmers’ Club is inviting local groups and businesses to enter teams in the outdoor event.
Up to 27 teams of ten people will compete, then gather at an evening event in a marquee with a live band, DJ and bar.
Entry fee for each team is £400, which will include the It’s A Knockout activities, a meal token, a team T-shirt and entry to the evening event.
Families, friends and colleagues can watch for £2 each.
