At first glance Cats the musical seems interesting and compelling.
The director kept the show interesting right from the start by dropping a shoe the size of someone’s body onto the stage while all the cats were singing.
I was amazed by the performances from all the actors, synchronising their singing, dancing and acting and giving it all the energy they had.
Grizella, played by Alice Redmond, delivered the famous song Memory beautifully and you could feel the emotion in her voice.
The one thing I must criticise is that Cats with songs by Andrew Lloyd Webber based on the cat poems of TS Eliot -- is hard to follow and I could not understand the plot.
Yet the whole thing was captivating, with some of the audience singing along to the well-known and well loved songs.
