Three thousand customers in South Craven were left without power this morning due a problem on the high voltage network.
The electricty went off just before 10am, affecting homes and businesses in Cross Hills, Glusburn, Cononley, Cowling and Eastburn, and was restored about 45 minutes later.
A spokesman for Northern Powergrid said the cause of the fault was being investigated and the company apologised for any inconvenience.
