Doe Park at Denholme was among the venues used by disabled athletes from Hamm in Germany during a visit to Bradford district.
The 25-strong contingent took part in dragon boat racing, kayaking, sailing, climbing and raft building at the council-run activities centre.
Events were organised by Bradford Disability Sports and Leisure and Southfield Grange School at Bradford, with support from the council’s sport and adventure development units.
Some of the visiting delegation also attended the inauguration of the new Lord Mayor of Bradford, Keighley councillor Khadim Hussain, at Bradford City Hall.
Coun Andrew Thornton, member for sport, said: “I am absolutely delighted this visit to the district took place, and we are pleased to support the occasion after the marvellous Paralympics last year. I hope this is the start of a continuing legacy.”
A range of activities for youngsters – including nature trails, adventure walks and runs – has been on offer at Doe Park this week to coincide with the school holidays.
