The charity selected for the new Lord Mayor of Bradford’s 2013/14 civic appeal is delighted to receive the extra support.
Keighley councillor Khadim Hussain, who was formally invested earlier this month, announced he will be raising cash for Bradford Disability Sport and Leisure.
The group, which is active in Keighley as well as Bradford, works to ensure people with disabilities can get involved in a variety of different sports.
Its funding office has now asked for volunteers to come forward and support its work during the year. The charity is looking for people willing to help out at various functions, and also welcomes donations plus raffle and auction prizes.
