A Keighley care home has launched an annual award.
Herncliffe has introduced the accolade in memory of its founder, Betty Kennedy, who died last November.
The first winner of the honour, which will be given to the home’s top health care worker, is Amreen Majid.
Everyone at Herncliffe, in Spring Gardens Lane, had the chance to nominate a staff member.
“We had nine nominations, which were put to a panel of our senior nursing team,” said managing director John Kennedy.
“Amreen is consistent, calm, always willing to take on responsibility and is very conscientious.
“It was a credit to all the nominees, as they all represented key attributes, but it was Amreen who stood out.”
