Young filmmakers from Long Lee Primary School enjoyed a red carpet moment with an Oscars-style ceremony at the National Media Museum.
They were among pupils from 100 primary schools who attended the event at the Pictureville Cinema in the Bradford museum.
They were able to watch each other’s films, made in three categories – digital animation, visual story and film.
Years one and five children from Long Lee had worked on filming and digital animation projects as part of ICT lessons.
Four of their films were nominated for an Oscar, and the pupils were successful with one in each category.
A school spokesman said: “Children and staff dressed up for this red carpet occasion and are very proud of their achievements.”
The ceremony was the culmination of spotlighting in schools during the course of the year by the Curriculum Innovation team of Bradford Council.
Coun Ralph Berry, executive member for children services, said: “This is a great way to celebrate the months of creative thinking and curriculum work that will have gone into these films.”
