Keighley News ale is toast of the town
5:00pm Thursday 8th August 2013 in News
An ale specially brewed to celebrate the launch of your full-colour Keighley News has gone down a treat.
Award-winning Goose Eye Brewery produced 30 barrels of the 4.3 per cent pale blonde ale, and it sold out within days.
Nearly a dozen hostelries across the area took the cask-conditioned beer, called ‘A Splash Of Colour – Headline Brews’.
“It sold really well – we were very pleased,” said Dave Atkinson, who with his dad, Jack, owns the family brewery at Ingrow Bridge. “Local pubs were extremely interested in it.”
Goose Eye Brewery, established in 1991, has won numerous prizes in Campaign for Real Ale festivals and other awards.
