Airedale’s clinical commissioning group (CCG) is urging people in need of repeat prescriptions for the bank holiday period to act immediately.
It said forgetting would put unnecessary strain on GP out-of-hours services.
Dr Phil Pue, accountable officer for Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven CCG, said: “It’s often easy for people to overlook the bank holiday when it comes to ordering repeat prescriptions, but the out-of-hours services are there to deal with urgent health problems, not this.”
