Haworth Cricket Club will host a match and family fun day on Sunday in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The event is organised by club member Simon Perryman, whose father, Kevin, died from the disease four years ago.
He is being helped by family and club members, particularly sister, Della, and team-mates Damien Rowell and Karl Brown. Della said the charity helped her family when her father was diagnosed with the disease.
She said: “We want to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease. It’s not so well-known as some other diseases.”
People are invited to call at the cricket ground from noon onwards to watch the match, and there will be a bouncy castle from about 4pm plus other attractions.
