Cullingworth Conservative Club could soon undergo a major makeover if a new planning application is approved by Bradford Council.

The club, which is based on Station Road and dates back to the 18th century, wants to build a new entrance foyer, orangery, patio and external staircase.

Its planning application, submitted last week, describes the building as “curious” and the existing entrance foyer as being “riddled with damp” and “rather unsightly”.

The existing foyer will be demolished under the new plans and replaced with a new, larger and more sympathetic extension. Also included in the plans is a timber pergola in the club’s gardens.
