Fitness and fun – Exercise through movement and dance to improve your stamina, strength and suppleness. Classes held 7-8pm at Exley Head Methodist Church. Come along and try something new, new members are always welcome. Admission is £10 per session to cover the cost of all your materials and refreshments. Line dancing classes are held at Exley Head Methodist Church as follows: beginners/intermediates, 6.30-7.30pm, £1.50; intermediates/ advanced, 7.30-9.30pm, £3. The beginners’ class runs from 5.30 until 6.30pm, cost is only £1.50 and everyone is welcome to come along and learn the basic steps. Tai Kwando classes are held at Oakbank recreation centre, 6-7pm for children aged six to 12, and 7-8.30pm juniors and seniors over 13. For more details contact Lisa Winteridge on 07919 898651, or just turn up. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a drink of water with you.

Low Fold family centre: For families with young children you will find Low Fold an invaluable place to go. On Tuesday afternoons there is a Stay and Play group where the children can have fun and meet other children and there is always someone there to give advice if you have a problem from 1pm to 3pm. There is a baby group on Wednesday afternoons from 1.15 to 2.45pm where a different topic will be discussed each week. Parents and carers of babies from to 12 months are very welcome. There is also a Stay and Play group for child minders with children from to five years in the morning from 9.15 to 11.15am, great fun for the children. On the third Thursday of every month a support group for parents of children with additional needs, called Embrace meets from 9.15 to 11.15am. There is also a Stay and Play group from 9.15 to 11.15am Fridays. The Family Club up to eight years meets on the second Saturday from 10am to noon; there is always something interesting for the children to do.
