The morning service at Long Lee Methodist Chapel was led by Olive Bastow. Readers were Adrian and Nola Moore. The readings and hymns reflected the theme of the service, the story of Hannah giving away her son and Samuel hearing God speak to him. At St Barnabas Parish Church the Rev Malcom Foy was the celebrant at the said Holy Communion Service. He spoke of how St Mark shows Jesus fulfilling God’s purpose for people in creation. He was also the celebrant at the sung Parish Communion. Readers were Margaret Anstey and Rod Tikner who also led the intercessions. Rod preached about real faith in the world today. The music for the services was provided by Bill Clayton on the piano.
