An inaugural beer festival was a heady success.
Around 700 people attended the three-day event, organised by Oxenhope’s Bridgehouse Brewery.
More than 50 ales, from as far afield as Orkney and Cornwall, were on offer.
And there was a strong line-up of local tipples.
Last weekend’s event – labelled the Airedale Beer Festival – was held in the grounds of the Airedale Heifer at Sandbeds, a pub managed by Bridgehouse Brewery.
Simon Lamb, the brewery’s head of sales and marketing, said: “It was a really good weekend and we received some excellent feedback.
“With it being the first one, we weren’t really sure how it would go, but we were very encouraged by the response and we hope it will become an annual event.
“We had a wet start on Friday but that night was busy and Saturday night was packed.”
The festival also featured live music, provided by local artists and bands, along with food and children’s entertainment.
And a “Bat the Rat’ game raised over £200, which will be split between Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands and Help for Heroes.
Main sponsors were mobile phone recycling company MPRO, Illingworth McNair Insurance Brokers, the Airedale Heifer and DML Digital Print.
Visitors to the festival were invited to vote for their favourite beer and the winning brewery will receive a plaque.
