GCSE pupils have literally created some ‘food for thought’!
The food studies students at Holy Family Catholic School baked brain buns, which they then sold to their fellow pupils.
A spokesman for the Keighley school explained: “The buns were full of vitamins and nutrients and, of course, oats for a slow release of energy, together with other key healthy ingredients such as fresh fruit for improved concentration.
“The aim of the project was to encourage students to eat a healthy breakfast.”
The GCSE group divided themselves into sellers and advertisers.
“The advertising section armed themselves with banners to catch the attention of pupils as they arrived at school.
Each bun only cost 30 pence, which was enough to cover the cost of ingredients.
