Bookings flooding in for pop-up campsite for Tour

Hundreds of cycling fans are expected to camp on the former Silsden Carnival field to watch next year’s Tour de France.
Town resident Andrew Conway has already taken dozens of bookings from across the UK for his pop-up campsite.
Several cycling clubs will arrive in force to use the facility so they have a grandstand view of the famous race.
The riverside site is next to Keighley Road, which is expected to be on the route for competitors during the Grand Depart next July.
Mr Conway, who rents the field, plans to lay on toilets, showers, a marquee, bar, live bands and giant screens to broadcast the race.
He said the field was ideal for the expected influx of weekend visitors for the Tour de France, with space for about 500 pitches.
Mr Conway added: “We've been taking bookings for the past three or four months and it’s going really well. “We’ve got a lot of cycling clubs from as far away as Devon and the north of Scotland. A lot of them are bringing their bikes – they want to go out and about.”
