Former Keighley tattooist in revamp of studio
3:13pm Friday 18th October 2013 in News
Former Keighley tattoo artist Ady Harrison has transformed the studio he has taken over in Skipton.
Ady has called his new enterprise – which he shares with piercer Rachael Reeves – The Laughing Buddha, apt because he respects the philosophy of Buddhism and has several of the statues decorating his Water Street studio.
He has altered the layout, separating the reception area from the tattoo parlour.
“In the old place, people would be able to see clients being tattooed. It wasn’t appropriate, especially if it was a female,” he said.
“I now have a reception area and a counter with a door behind leading into the studio, which gives much more privacy. “ This is not his first venture into the business, as Ady ran a studio in Keighley for several years.
