Manorlands Hospice is looking for runners at the 2014 London Marathon.

Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice is looking for runners to bolster its numbers at the 2014 Virgin Money London Marathon.
Sue Ryder’s 30 charity places have now been filled, with five of those being local runners taking part for Manorlands.
The hospice now hopes to increase its team by appealing to runners who successfully gained a place through the ballot to join them next April.
Regional fundraiser, Hayley Ibbotson, said: “The ballot places were announced last week so we know there will be people in the local area who were lucky enough to get a place.
“Every person who joins our team will be enabling us to provide even more incredible care in the local area, so we urge anyone who has a place to get in touch with us.”
The Manorlands fundraising team offers lots of individual fundraising and training advice during the months leading up to race, as well supporting runners on the day with designated cheering points along the route.
Support for runners includes: a specific training plan, tailored to individual ability; a training day, giving runners a chance to meet staff and their fellow teammates ; support from experienced runners on everything from diet to equipment ; an online community, including Facebook, Twitter and Strava groups; your very own running vest to wear with pride on the day ; regular newsletters, including kit, nutrition and injury advice ; support on the day; and access to the VIP Sue Ryder post race reception.
Hayley added: “All money raised locally through sponsorship will be used to continue the services of Manorlands, both at the hospice itself and out in the local community.”
