Oxenhope's Manorlands delight with City Runs role
3:00pm Thursday 24th October 2013 in News
Manorlands has spoken of its delight at being involved in this year’s Bradford City Runs.
The Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice is among two charities supporting Sunday’s event and sharing in the proceeds. The other is Epilepsy Action.
Manorlands fundraiser Andrew Wood said: “We have found the participation by so many supporters in our Keighley BigK 10K each Mother’s Day and in our associated sporting events throughout the year to be a tremendous experience for ourselves and for those involved.
“We’re delighted to also be part of the Bradford City Runs, and hope this unique-format event will go from strength to strength and underpin Bradford’s status as a real centre of sporting and fundraising activity.”
Participants can tackle a 5k, 10k or half-marathon route, each starting near City Park at 9.30am. Finishers will receive a medal and technical T-shirt.
Entry costs £16 – or £14 for affiliated athletes – for the 5k and 10k races, and £20/£18 for the half marathon.
The deadline for registration is 5.30pm tomorrow. Visit bradfordcityruns.co.uk for further information and to enter.
