Unwanted toys to aid charity cause in Keighley
6:55pm Thursday 24th October 2013 in News
Keighley people are being urged to take unwanted toys to the town’s Argos store.
The company has teamed up with Barnardo’s to raise £1 million for disadvantaged children.
Donated toys will be sold through the charity’s outlets.
Anyone giving items will receive a voucher towards the cost of new toys.
The campaign has been launched following the success of a similar scheme last year.
A Barnardo’s spokesman said: “This is a fantastic initiative.
“As we start to think about Christmas, it’s the perfect time to help those in need. I urge families in Keighley to get out to their Argos store and donate their unwanted toys.”
Items can be donated until November 26. Visit argos.co.uk/toyexchange for more information.
