Another cafe chain eyes up empty unit in Keighley
6:57pm Thursday 24th October 2013 in News
Another national cafe chain could move into Keighley’s Airedale Shopping Centre.
Permission is being sought to change the use of a vacant unit from a shop to cafe/restaurant.
And centre manager, Steve Seymour, said considerable interest had been shown.
“We got Costa last September, which was great for the centre and stimulated interest from others,” he said.
“We have a fantastic offering in terms of independent cafes, plus Costa and Greggs, but we are currently missing other national representation.
“There is a lot of interest in the vacant unit, and once approval for change of use is in place, the letting agents can talk seriously to potential tenants.”
The unit, which has been empty for about 18 months, was formerly occupied by Co-op Travel.
