A man who tackled a gruelling 24-mile obstacle course to raise money for Haworth Riding for the Disabled (RDA) has been publicly thanked for his efforts.
David Fisher raised £1,000 through the Tough Mudder Challenge at Broughton Hall, which included tasks ranging from swimming in a vat of ice to crawling through mud.
Tribute was paid at Haworth RDA’s annual awards night, where he was thanked by Councillor Ralph Berry, Bradford Council’s executive member for children’s services.
The group’s fundraiser, Jane Lawrence, said: “David made us his chosen charity, as his friend’s daughter is one of our young riders and he sees the benefits she gets from our facilities.
“It is people like David – raising these pockets of money – that help maintain our facilities and allow us to continue providing therapy, recreation and sporting opportunity for people with disabilities.”
