Dangers and treatment of blood clots will be explained by Airedale Hospital senior pharmacist Emily Smith at a free event on Tuesday.
The talk, which will include information on the anti-coagulant service at Airedale and possible future developments, will be held in the lecture theatre – part of the education centre at Airedale Hospital – between 10.30am and 11.45am.
Anti-coagulants are used to treat and prevent blood clots that may occur in blood vessels. Blood clotting in an artery or vein could eventually lead to serious problems, such as a stroke or heart attack.
Everyone is welcome to attend. Places are free but need to be booked in advance.
