New parking restrictions in the Thornhill Road area of Steeton were due to come into force on Monday.
The measures, which include double yellow lines, aim to deter Airedale Hospital staff and visitors from parking on the roads.
Residents have long complained inconsiderately-parked cars cause a hazard on the housing estate.
District ward councillor, Andrew Mallinson, welcomed the introduction of the restrictions in Thornhill Road, Currer Walk and Gamel View.
He said: “It’s another measure that will hopefully help the parking situation down there.
“I will continue to encourage the council wardens and police to go down there. It’s a notorious hotspot that keeps them occupied, and they have issued parking tickets.”
The £15,000 project is being funded by Keighley Area Committee.
