A Christmas fair at Keighley Healthy Living raised more than £500 to support children attending weekly activities.

Proceeds will be spent on a ‘sensory board’ to educate and entertain babies and toddlers at the Scott Street centre.

The fair included stalls, a raffle, tombola and country gifts, such as home-made jam.

Father Christmas wandered around the centre, and people could eat Santa’s Special Warming Soup in the Christmas-themed cafe.

A KHL spokesman said the fair went “absolutely brilliantly”. She added: “We had a really good turnout – lots of people who come to our regular groups and others who just called in.”

The centre runs two children’s sessions – a breastfeeding drop-in on Tuesdays from 10am to noon and the Teen Treasures support group for young parents on Tuesdays from 1pm to 3pm. Call 01535 677177 for further information.
