Keighley MP Kris Hopkins has welcomed the progress of a Bill that will pave the way for a referendum on UK membership of the European Union.
The Bill has cleared its final Commons stage, and will now be considered by the House of Lords.
Mr Hopkins said: “I am delighted we are a step closer to giving the people of this country their chance to decide the shape of Britain’s future in Europe.
“This is an opportunity Labour and Liberal Democrat MPs repeatedly sought to take away with the use of outrageous delaying tactics.
“As a Conservative, I am proud my party stands alone in Parliament in making clear that we need a better settlement with Europe, and that the outcome of these negotiations should be a matter for the British people to pass judgement on.”
