Oakworth Primary School pupils hosted a coffee morning to help fund improvements at their village park.
They entitled their event A Park In Need, and organised several activities to attract parents and their younger siblings.
Thirteen of the year six youngsters spent the week planning, costing and advertising Friday’s event.
School spokesman, Kath Kenniford, said activities included naming a rabbit and picking up sticks.
She added: “Everything was planned by year six – there was a raffle with some excellent prizes donated by local businesses.
“They also made most of the cakes for the morning, including flapjacks, buns and a decorated gingerbread.”
The event raised more than £450 towards ongoing efforts to provide improvements at Holden Park, which is across the road from the school. Developments this year have included a new £70,000-plus playground, which Oakworth school children were involved in planning.
