A memorial Christmas tree has been launched at the Knowle funeral home in Keighley.
Families are being invited to place messages on the tree, which will be lit throughout Advent until twelfth night in memory of loved ones.
People can call at the Victoria Road premises, on weekdays between 8.30am and 5pm to place their message. Staff will be available to help, if needed.
And the funeral home is holding a memorial service on Thursday, December 12. The 7pm event will include prayers, carols and a quiet time for reflection. There will also be a chance to view the tree and place messages. Refreshments will be served.
Andrea Day, the Knowle’s principal funeral director, said: “We know that Christmas is a particularly painful time for anyone who has lost friends or relatives. We hope that the tree and memorial service will help to bring some small comfort at what can be a very difficult time.”
