New tenants of the Royal Oak pub at the bottom of Mill Hey, Haworth, may be announced before Christmas, the pub’s letting agents said this week.
“We don’t wish to say any more at this stage, but we have had a lot of interest and various offers on the Royal Oak,” said a spokesman for Fawley, Watson and Booth, of Leeds.
“It may be that we will make a decision by Christmas on who takes it over.”
The detached Georgian building stands right by the corner where Tour de France cyclists will swing left before heading up to tackle the famous Main Street.
