A Keighley man who formerly worked for Homeloan Management Ltd in Skipton has been sent to crown court for an offence under the Data Protection Act.
Farid Ghulam Rafiq, 36, is accused of knowingly or recklessly obtaining and disclosing information contained in personal data. He is said to have obtained the information, without the consent of the data controller, in Skipton between October 1, 2005, and October 29, 2011.
Rafiq, of View Road, appeared at Skipton Magistrates Court on Friday when magistrates sent him to Bradford Crown Court for a preliminary hearing next Friday, December 20.
