Trees company for members of a new networking group for environmentally-minded Keighley people!

Fifteen people attended the first meeting of Green Drinks Keighley, where they could chat about eco-friendly issues, including ideas for new projects.

They listened to a talk about the work of community woodland project Forest of Bradford, which has so far planted one million trees.

Shaun O’Hare, one of the organisers, said future Green Drinks gatherings will focus on local food, climate change and Keighley’s biodiversity.

He added: “Our events are free, open to the public and simple and unstructured, with a lot of positive benefits.”

The next meeting is at the Brown Cow, West Lane, in February. Visit the group’s Facebook page for further information.
