Woman cut from car following crash in Laycock

A woman was injured when the car she was driving skidded on ice and crashed.

The 4x4 ended up on its side following the incident in Tarn Lane, Laycock.

Firefighters helped remove the woman from the badly-damaged vehicle, and she was taken by ambulance to Airedale Hospital. Her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

Keighley and Bingley fire crews were called to the crash at 7.50pm last Thursday.

They spent about an hour at the scene.

“The casualty wasn’t trapped as such, but we had to remove some doors from the vehicle in order to help lift her safely out,” said a fire service spokesman.
