The old snooker hall in Grange Street, Keighley, has been completely gutted following last night’s fire.
The blaze destroyed what was left of the Lawkholme building following the first fire last Tuesday morning.
Crews from six fire stations spent around four hours bringing the fire under control, and smoke was this morning still rising from the empty shell of the building.
Around 30 residents in neighbouring Wren Street and surrounding terraced streets were evacuated during the latest incident.
Police asked them to leave soon after firefighters arrived to tackle the blaze at around 2am.
At least five fire engines and an aerial ladder were called from Keighley, Silsden, Bingley, Haworth, Bradford and Shipley fire stations.
Andy Newman, the incident commander, said the priority had been to protect houses in Wren Street that were next to the former snooker hall.
He said: “The row of terraced houses in Wren Street was in serious danger of catching fire.”
Mr Newman said the latest fire gutted every part of the building that had not been damaged last week.
He said: “Materials were stored in this end of the building, fabrics and plastics.
It was full of stock of various types.
“The fire investigation team will be revisiting the fire with the police this morning.”
A Red Cross crisis team, summoned by the Fire Service, provided refreshments to evacuated householders last night, and Bradford Council offered the use of nearby Victoria Hall.
Nazmeen Ali, who lives in Wren Street, said: “We were evacuated last week, so last night we thought ‘here we go again!’.
“My in-laws live across the road, so we went across there. A lot of people along the street have families living near here.”
