A 25-year-old Steeton man has been barred from all Skipton pubs for three months after admitting assaulting a member of staff at the town’s Venue Bar.
Matthew Dobson had been ordered out of the sports bar by door supervisor, Simon Barker, at about 10.30pm on November 23 for fighting, Skipton magistrates heard on Friday.
But on his way out, Dobson, who claimed to have drunk 17 pints of lager before going out, swung his arm at the other man, causing a small cut to his mouth.
Dobson, whom the court heard had already been banned from licensed premises under the Stop Trouble and Nighttime Disorder (STAND) scheme, told police he could remember only vague details.
Magistrates handed Dobson, of Williams Road, a three-month exclusion order, barring him from all licensed premises in Skipton for three months. He was also fined £100, ordered to pay compensation of £100 to Mr Barker, costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.
