A 12-year-old boy was injured in a collision involving a car driven by an 81-year-old man in the centre of Keighley, which also caused traffic disruption on Monday afternoon.
Distraught family members gathered quickly at the scene of the 2.25pm accident in North Street, adjacent to the Picture House cinema, as paramedics cared for the boy lying in the road.
Eyewitnesses said he was struck on the left leg by a red Vauxhall Corsa while trying to cross the road.
A 2013-registered Corsa, driven by a pensioner from Sutton, was parked outside the offices of the Keighley News as police recorded details of the incident.
The injured youth was taken to Airedale Hospital, and the road returned to normal by 3.15pm.
