Silsden man Lee Asquith was among hardy souls who braved freezing water for a traditional New Year’s Day dip.
He and dozens of others took turns in the plunge bath at White Wells on Ilkley Moor.
The January 1 challenge has run for years. But proprietor Mark Hunnebell takes a dip every day.
He said: “So far, I have been in 3,877 times. I can’t expect anyone else to go in and not go in myself. I go in every day, and I feel really good for it.”
