Oakworth morris dancers plan to raise a glass to their new members.
They are offering a free pint to anyone who tries out at their first practice session of the New Year.
Oakworth Village Morris Men hope to attract prospective male dancers, as well as male or female musicians.
And they promise to buy a pint afterwards for anyone who goes along to Monday’s event.
Leader, Nigel Yeo, said the intention was to find the next generation of dancers.
He said: “No previous dancing experience is necessary. We say we can teach anyone to dance.
“What is needed is enthusiasm and a wish to help maintain an ancient English tradition. Morris dancing is a rewarding hobby, both in performance and the social side of attending events around the country.”
The Oakworth Village Morris Men perform the Cotswold Morris style, including dances from a number of villages, such as Lichfield, Adderbury and Upton-upon-Severn.
The recruitment night will be held from 8pm at Oakworth Methodist Chapel, which is next to the village’s mini-roundabout.
Anyone who cannot go along that night, but is still interested, should contact Pete Spurr on 01274 402927.
