Friends of Phoenix Special School in Keighley have received a £1,500 boost.

The cash has been donated by the Leeds City Exchange branch of Bluefin Insurance, as part of its Think Giving charity campaign.

Neil Hartley, Bluefin’s branch director, said: “The Friends of Phoenix Special School are dedicated to improving the already exceptional care and support provided by the school. Their continued efforts have enriched the lives of local children and provided vital support for their parents.

“We are delighted to make this donation, which we hope will benefit the work of this terrific charity.”

Jason Patefield, for the Friends, said: “Our goal is to ensure that the school has the resources to provide local children with access to the highest standard of education possible. This donation will go towards helping us achieve that.”
