Airedale Male Voice Choir raised £4,582 for Manorlands at its charity concert at South Craven School in Cross Hills last month.
More than 300 music lovers were treated to a wide-ranging programme, and soloist was up-and-coming baritone, Stefan Grant.
The 50-strong choir gives concerts throughout the year to help local charities and, since its formation in 1997, has helped raise more than £120,000 – of which more than £50,000 has been donated to the Sue Ryder hospice. Choir leader, John Smith, said. “The choir is pleased to be able to help.”
Matthew Binns, community fundraiser at Manorlands, said: “We are extremely grateful to the Airedale Male Voice Choir for its support. Its annual concert has raised tens of thousands of pounds for us over the years.”
The choir’s next concert is in aid of Riding for the Disabled, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Ebor Lane, Haworth, at 7.30pm on Saturday. Contact Mr Smith on 01535 653110 for tickets.
