Health chiefs are warning Keighley people not to get complacent about the threat of flu.

NHS England’s West York-shire team says January and February traditionally see more flu cases than any other months.

People, especially those in at-risk groups, are being encouraged to ensure they are vaccinated against the virus.

“Just because the end of winter is in sight, that doesn’t mean the threat of flu is over,” said spokesman, Rona Daniels.

“Flu is still circulating, so if you have received a letter from your GP inviting you to have a free jab and you still haven’t been vaccinated, we would encourage you to get protected.”
