Keighley groups are listed in a new directory of sports for disabled people across Bradford district.

The 32-page guide gives details of a wide variety of sports and other activities for people with physical or learning disabilities.

The guide is published by the charity Bradford Disability Sports and Leisure (BDSL), which itself runs several groups in the Keighley area.

These include Paralympics and a Junior Sports Academy at University Academy Keighley.

A spokesman said: “We have worked really hard during the past four months to bring together providers and organisations.”

The directory has been produced by the Sport England-funded Creating Connections project, run by West Yorkshire Sports Partner-ship to help disabled people take part in sports.

The directory is also available as an audiotape.

Andrew Lane, who compiled the guide, said there were at least 30 clubs for disabled people in Bradford district.

He added: “If there are other groups, we want to hear from them, and we also want to hear from organisations wanting advice on how to set up a club for disabled people.”

Copies of the guide are available by e-mailing bsr@btconnect.com or call 01274 437093.
