Members of Haworth Village Trust have been informed the new bandstand for Haworth Central Park remains on track to be completed by March 31.
The group staged its latest meeting last Wednesday. It was confirmed the trust’s bandstand committee is busy organising a “grand ceremonial launch event” for the new structure in June. The date for this occasion is still to be finalised.
The bandstand is currently being fabricated by Andy Thornton, of Elland, who won the tender for the job.
Trust members were also told a recent meeting to revive Haworth in Bloom had been a success, and the village will once again enter the Yorkshire in Bloom contest.
