A couple who had four of their border terriers stolen from their Riddlesden home have been re-united with one of the dogs.

Andrea Jones said two-year-old female, Cleo, was found wandering in Whetley Lane, Bradford, last Monday by a BT engineer.

She said Cleo was in a good condition, but added she and her partner, Mark, remain worried and frustrated about the uncertain fate of their three other dogs.

The animals were stolen from the garden of their owners’ house sometime between 11pm on January 14 and 6.15am on January 15.

As well as Cleo, the thieves also took her two-and-a-half-year-old offspring, Bolt, who is male, and Poppy, a pregnant female. The other stolen border terrier is an unrelated two-year-old male, called Romsay.

Miss Jones, above, said: “Poppy will have had her first litter of pups by now, and we’re terribly worried about the other two males.”

She and her partner have set up a Facebook page – Please help find our stolen border terriers – to draw attention to their plight.

People with information are asked to contact the police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
