The manager of Keighley Community Transport is starting a shopping bus from our area (Haworth, Stanbury, Oxenhope and Leeming) to the Keighley supermarkets for a trial period. It will pick up and drop off by arrangement and is targeted at the elderly and disabled. The service will be free for the trial period. Contact (01535) 609278.
On Wednesday, February 19 there is a six-mile, circular, guided walk from Cross Roads to Catstones End. Meet David Anderson at 10.30am at St James’ Church, Cross Roads. Suitable gear for all weathers and a packed lunch required. No dogs allowed.
The Haworth, Oxenhope, Lees & Crossroads Gardeners & Allotment Association’s 96th annual flower, vegetable and produce show will be held on August 17 at Haworth Community Centre, Butt Lane. Early notice is given for the benefit of photographers and growers – the subjects for the photography class are ‘The Tour De France’ and ‘Wow!’ Anybody wishing to sponsor a class in the show, please contact Geoff Wilkins on (01535) 642633.
